Priority Workers (First Preference)

An EB-1 is an immigrant visa for foreign nationals that belong to one of the following categories:

  • Foreign nationals or immigrants with extraordinary ability in the arts, business, sciences, education, or athletics, which has been demonstrated by sustained national or international acclaim and whose achievements have been recognized in the field through extensive documentation.
  • Outstanding professors and researches, who are recognized internationally as outstanding in a specific academic area.
  • Multinational executives and managers of foreign companies who are transferred to the United States.

The above descriptions use general terms, each category consists of very stringent eligibility requirements, therefore each case must be carefully examined in order to make sure the foreign national qualifies for an EB-1 immigrant visa.
