Biography
Patricia Cooper, Esq. is dedicated solely to the practice of immigration and nationality law. She represents foreign nationals before the immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the asylum offices, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and U.S. consulates abroad.
Ms. Cooper has been a speaker on removal defense and immigration law panels hosted by the Broward County Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Cooper was an attorney advisor at the Miami Immigration Court. She advised the immigration judges on legal issues in deportation cases and drafted written decisions. Ms. Cooper graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia in 2005, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and history. She completed her law degree at the University of Virginia School of Law in 2010. Ms. Cooper’s interest in immigration law stems from her experiences traveling internationally, studying foreign languages abroad, and working with asylum seekers in Ecuador.
Ms. Cooper is a member of the District of Columbia bar and is fluent in Spanish.
